ENZOOTIC PNEUMONIA IS A TOUGH COMPETITOR
MYPRAVAC SUIS
Inactivated vaccine against Enzootic pneumonia
Technical training: complete safety and maximal efficacy

Benefits of vaccination

Product data sheet

ENZOOTIC PNEUMONIA: THE ATTACKING TEAM
MYPRAVAC SUIS: THE DEFENDING TEAM
Rival analysis: key points
A new potent adjuvant combination: double effect

- Severe economic losses in global pig production.
- Important reduction in performance.
- Complex interaction with other pathogens (P. multocida, A. pleuropneumoniae, H. parasuis, S. suis, PRRSV, Swine Influenza Virus (SIV), type 2 of Porcine Circovirus, etc.): Porcine Respiratory Disease Complex (PRDC)
- 30-95% of slaughtered pigs may show typical lesions.
- Up to 60-99% herds may be positive to M. hyopneumoniae.

1. Carbomer: long-lasting immunity
- Improvement in antigen presentation.
- Sequestration and slow release of vaccine antigens (long-lasting antigenic stimulation).

Presentation of the vaccinal antigens in relation to their adjuvants allows for a strong immune response to Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae.

2. Levamisole: strong humoral and cellular response
- Induction of an enhanced antibody response.
- Increase in chemo-attraction of antigen-presenting cells.
- Enhancement of the immunologica memory of vaccinated pigs.
- Increase of the activity of neutrophilic granulocytes and macrophages.
- Enhancement of the number of T-limphocytes.
- Induction of the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins in T-lymphocytes.
- Stimulation of Y-interferón production

A highly immunogenic J strain
- J strain yields a more intense immune response to Mh than standard vaccine strains.
- The vaccinal antigen consist of membrane proteins together with virulence factors.
A stimulated humoral response
- MYPRAVAC SUIS stimulates the production of IgA, IgG and IgM, induces a local mucosal immune response in the respiratory tract, and neutralises M. hyopneumoniae.

The most important type of antibody is IgA, wich acts locally at the mucosal surface to neutralise the mycoplasma organism.
An increased cellular response
- MYPRAVAC SUIS enhances macrophages and T-lymphocyte function, stimulates interferon-y and increases plasma cell (B-lymphocyte) levels, which produce effective antibodies.
Excellent syringeability
- MYPRAVAC SUIS is very syringeable and makes handling eaiser.
Absence of reactions at the injection site
- MYPRAVAC SUIS exhibits local and systemic innocuousness and does not produce reactions at the injection site..
Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae

Observation of M. hyopneumoniae in the lung by direct immunofluorescence

Colonies of a M. hyopneumoniae culture (x4)

Consequences: additional costs on farms

RESPIRATORY CONSEQUENCES
Risk of secondary infections

- Alterations in the surface of epithelial cells.
- Interference with mechanisms that secrete bactericidal substances.
- Damage to the cilia of the trachea, bronchi and bronchioles.
- Chronic, non-reproducitve cough.
- Nasal secretion.
- Lung lesions: purple to grey areas with firmer consistency.

PRODUCTIVE LOSES
Reduction in performance parameters

On the farms:
- Decreased daily weight gain.
- More days of occupation per pig: increased opportunity cost.
- Increased feeding cost/pig.
- Decreased feed efficiency: higher food conversion rate.
- Poor batch uniformity.
- Increased management and labour costs.
- Increased medication costs.
- Slight increase in piglet mortality.

At slaughter:
- Slaugtherhouse penalities.
- Reduced carcass value.
- Risk of residues due to use og drugs.
