Peixos

Metin Ilemin, (HIPRA Turkiye Aqua Technical Manager and FAO expert), led a five-day training from July 31 to August 4, 2023, supported by the European Union's ENPARD IV. Held in Georgia, the program concentrated on safe and sustainable aquaculture, with a spotlight on animal health. Attended by National Food Agency of Georgia (NFA) personnel, aquaculture producers, veterinarians, and FAO staff, the training delved into crucial areas like "farm to table" practices, reduced veterinary product utilization, fish farm design, health management, biosecurity, and antimicrobial resistance.

This initiative not only enhances safety standards but also positions Georgia's aquaculture sector for economic growth and competitiveness in the market.
