Porcine parvovirus: an old but still important pathogen

Porcine parvovirus (PPV or Ungulate parvovirus 1) is a DNA virus, firstly recognized in the end 1960s, as a member of the Parvoviridae family (Streck; Truyen, 2020). Parvoviruses belong to the Parvovirídae family, consisting of two subfamilies, Parvovirinae and Densovirinae.
