Escherichia coli (E.coli) infection is a frequent cause of neonatal diarrhoea in piglets worldwide and is an important and devastating disease for pig producers. It is also responsible for a substantial economic impact on farms due to high morbidity and mortality rates and the loss of growth that it causes.
