HIPRA’s commitment to One Health: a view from Animal Health

Корпоративные

On the occasion of One Health Day (November 3rd), HIPRA highlights how the cross-disciplinary vision of the One Health model is part of its corporate identity. This approach recognizes the interdependence between animal, human, and environmental health, and promotes coordinated strategies to move towards a healthier and more sustainable future.

Over the coming weeks, three HIPRA professionals, representing each of the key areas of the One Health concept, will share their perspectives. This series of articles begins with insights from Xavier De Paz, Marketing Director Animal Health, who emphasizes prevention as the cornerstone of the model.

According to De Paz, at HIPRA prevention goes beyond a strategy, it is the company’s main commitment to ensuring the health of people, animals, and the planet. This preventive mindset is embedded in HIPRA’s DNA and translates into direct benefits such as reduced antibiotic use and minimized risk of antimicrobial resistance, as well as positive economic and social impacts. “Vaccinating or anticipating is always more efficient and cost-effective than reacting to disease”, notes De Paz.

With the goal of turning prevention into a practical and data-driven tool, HIPRA integrates disease diagnostics, advanced data analytics, and connected digital devices to offer innovative, operational solutions aligned with the needs of professionals and society.

This focus on prevention and innovation reflects HIPRA’s ongoing commitment to the One Health approach and its desire to contribute, through its expertise and knowledge, to global and sustainable health.

In the coming weeks, HIPRA will further explore the One Health approach from other areas within the company, amplifying the voices of its professionals and highlighting the value of this integrative model in the health sector.
