Experiences Challenge: Coccidiosis Vaccination Broilers 2025-26

Posts
Poultry

Background

Coccidiosis vaccination in commercial broilers is an increasingly trend worldwide. This shift is primarily driven by the improved and more efficient productive performance achieved with attenuated coccidiosis vaccines, whether in continuous or rotational strategies, compared to relying solely on anticoccidial drugs.

Moreover, there is a growing focus on the One Health strategy and the Non-Antibiotic-Ever movement, which aim to reduce antibiotic use, including certain anticoccidial drugs with antibiotic effects, in poultry production.

As a result, new vaccines for avian coccidiosis, attenuated by precociousness, developed for spray or in-ovo administration, are becoming a good alternative for controlling this challenging disease.

Objective

The objective of this scientific Challenge is to showcase the performance of attenuated by precociousness coccidiosis vaccines administered through spray or in-ovo injection on commercial broiler farms by means of field data (hereinafter the "Data Trial").

The top three Data Trials will be selected for submission as abstracts at the 2025 AAAP Annual Meeting1. The author/s of each selected trial will be rewarded with the opportunity to attend the event, which will take place in July 2026 in the city of Orlando (USA), as presenters candidates (either through a poster or an oral presentation).
