The visit coincided with the start of the influenza and COVID-19 vaccination campaign and provided an opportunity to highlight HIPRA’s scientific, technological and industrial capabilities to address future health challenges.

The importance of prevention and of having the capabilities to respond to future health challenges was one of the topics discussed during the visit of Albert Dalmau, Minister of the Presidency of the Government of Catalonia, to the HIPRA Campus in Aiguaviva (Girona) on Wednesday. The visit coincided with the start of the influenza and COVID-19 vaccination campaign, at a time when vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to protect public health.

The visit also provided an opportunity to showcase the company's scientific, technological, and industrial capabilities, as well as its commitment to talent, research, innovation, and the development of biotechnology products. In this context, the role of the HIPRA Campus was highlighted as a facility that brings together research, development and manufacturing capabilities, helping to strengthen Europe's strategic autonomy in health. This commitment is also reflected in HIPRA's participation in SPEEDCELL, a European project aimed at developing vaccines within 100 days to enable a faster response to future health emergencies.
