HIPRA MEXICO and ConcerVet successfully conclude the Diploma Program in Bovine Health

HIPRA MEXICO, in collaboration with the National Council for Certification in Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics (ConcerVet), successfully concluded the Diploma Program in Bovine Health: Prevention and Eradication of IBR and BVD, a six-module, accredited program designed to strengthen the technical skills of veterinarians and livestock consultants across the country.

For six weeks, more than 180 participants—connected from various regions of Mexico and Latin America—took part in this continuing education project, which brought together national and international specialists to address key topics such as diagnostics, biosecurity, reproduction, viral diseases, bacterial pathogens, and vaccination strategies.

Outstanding International Participation 

This diploma program featured contributions from experts from Spain, the United States, and Latin America, who shared cutting-edge knowledge and global experiences applied to bovine health. 

Among them were Dr. Laura Valls Vila, Manager of the Diagnos Laboratory at HIPRA HQ (Spain); Dr. Ignacio Arnaiz, Animal Health Specialist and Head of the Mabegondo Laboratory in A Coruña (Spain); and Dr. Chris Chase, Professor Emeritus at South Dakota State University (United States), an expert in immunology and vaccinology.

Their participation significantly enriched the program’s technical perspective, allowing attendees to connect real-world field conditions with international scientific insights.

Roundtable Sessions: Technical Exchange in the Regions 

As part of the diploma program’s closing activities, Bovine Health Roundtable Sessions were held during the same week with specialists from different regions of the country, including Jalisco, Lagos de Moreno and Querétaro

These spaces brought together veterinary advisors with extensive regional experience to discuss the main challenges in bovine health in Mexico, share practical cases, and strengthen prevention strategies.

Closing session at the Hacienda Sepúlveda

The closing session was held on November 12, 2025, at the Hacienda Sepúlveda Hotel in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, a historic venue that provided the ideal setting to conclude this learning cycle. The final module featured presentations by MVZ Eugenio Gómez Ayala and MVZ Arturo de Jesús Martín Gutiérrez, both from HIPRA MEXICO Technical Services team, as well as Raquel Teixeira, Global Product Manager – Ruminants at HIPRA HQ.

Each speaker contributed practical and strategic perspectives on biosecurity, comprehensive prevention, applied diagnostics, and modern vaccinology, reinforcing HIPRA’s role as a key player in animal health.

This diploma program reflects HIPRA’s vision of preventing, learning, and moving forward together toward healthier, more sustainable, and more productive livestock farming, while continuing to drive bovine health through science, innovation, and passion. Thanks to the participation of the organizing team, the technical staff, the national and international speakers, and every participant, the first edition of this diploma program concluded with great success.
