HIPRA PORTUGAL took part in the seminar “Together for Animal Health and Welfare”, organized by the diagnostic laboratory Segalab and the cooperative union UCADESA, held on January 22 in Póvoa de Varzim.

The event brought together more than 300 farmers and veterinarians linked to the dairy cattle sector, focusing on the new sanitary challenges of dairy production, particularly the economic impact of Lumpy Skin Disease and Bluetongue, disease prevention strategies in dairy heifer rearing, and animal welfare in line with the “One Health” approach.

The HIPRA PORTUGAL team attended not only as a sponsor, but also delivered a technical presentation by Deolinda Silva, Technical Services Manager, focused on dairy heifer rearing and the prevention of Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD).

With a solid portfolio of preventive solutions, including the vaccines NASYM^® (against Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus) and Hiprabovis^® Somni/Lkt (against Mannheimia haemolytica and Histophilus somni), HIPRA demonstrated its ability to provide specialized technical expertise and effective tools to promote healthy, productive heifer rearing with BRD under effective control.
